Plain-language first. Each section opens with a short summary in ordinary words, then the actual terms. The summaries are there to be read; the terms are what govern. 1.You can delete everything, yourself

There’s a delete button in the app, and it really deletes. No emailing to ask permission, no waiting on me.

In the app, go to Settings → Delete my account and confirm. This deletes your account and the data tied to it. If you’d rather, you can also ask me to do it by emailing familiarhelp@outlook.com from the address associated with your account.

2.What gets deleted

Everything you created and everything derived from it: your journal entries and chat, your Familiar and its configuration, your motes, your stories and worlds, any therapist notes, your friend connections, your feeding and Roam history, and your account identifier. Data derived from your content is removed along with it, and your information is cleared from routine backups within a short period in the ordinary course.

3.Export first, if you want a copy

Deletion is permanent and can’t be undone. If you want to keep your writing or your stories, export them before you delete — there’s an export option in the app.

4.Cancel a subscription separately

Deleting your account here does not cancel a subscription billed by your app store. That’s a separate step, in the store.

If you have a paid subscription, cancel it in your Apple App Store or Google Play account settings, otherwise the store may keep billing you even after the account is gone. See Subscriptions & purchases.
